Recreational Award

This award is given by the Recreational Paddling director and steerspersons to the person who most embraces the spirit of recreational paddling.

Laulima is a Hawaiian word meaning “many hands”. As a core Hawaiian value, Laulima encourages us to work together for a greater cause, as in “many hands make light work”.

Lōkahi is a Hawaiian word meaning “as one”.  It means living in unity, oneness, harmony and agreement.

The recreational award is given to those who come to paddling with Laulima and Lōkahi.
