Black Surf Santa Cruz (BSSC) is a 501(c3) organization promoting mental, physical, spiritual, and
communal healing through surfing, education, recreation, advocacy, and wellness. Black Surf Santa Cruz
aims to tear down barriers that oftentimes keep our oceans segregated, and we empower POC to reclaim
their space in the ocean through surfing, spiritual wellness, water safety, and building community. BSSC
creates and hosts events throughout the year, helping others learn and appreciate the ocean, beaches, and
our coastal environments.
