Women’s Race Team Meeting
The women’s race team is getting ready to start the season! We start right after the time change and we are kicking it off with a meeting on Monday March 13th. The meeting address and time is on the event schedule on Women Racers TeamSnap (Community Foundation of SC). Doors open at 5:30 so we can mingle but meeting does not start until 6:00pm. It is okay to be late!
I would like to invite any rec paddlers who want to hear more about the women’s race team to our meeting. Find out more about when and how we practice, learn about our races, and meet other racers.
All paddlers, who identify as women, are welcome to attend. No experience requirement needed. As long as you are able to start with us at the beginning of the season, we will get you up to speed with us quickly.
Outrigger Racing is unique in that it offers what is called a “novice” category. This allows new racers to compete against other new racers and usually on shorter courses. Its a great way to test it out as you refine your skills.
There is a sign up for the meeting posted to the Women Racer’s TeamSnap calendar. Please as noted on the event, this sign up is for rec paddlers who are not currently racers. Race team members should sign up on the Race TeamSnap calendar. I am trying to get a count of new interest so I can plan the meeting accordingly.
