Description of Event: Juneteenth Paddle Out
Notes:
Guests will sign OSC waivers online; list of guests will be sent to Gayle Bensusan (will check that waivers have been completed prior to the event)
Dock + Launch Plan
- We have approval to land on the public access dock on the east (Boardwalk) side of the wharf
- seats 2 and 3 from each canoe will exit the canoe at the wharf dock
- Leisl and Cheryl G will serve as loading dock leads (staying at the dock) and maintaining order
- Paul L and Karen H will support them with loading/unloading guests at dock
- Sabine and Tai will lead instruction on the sand, with Irene and Coop assisting them
- all others will assist on the beach with giving guests a paddle, life vest & pep talk (if needed)
- Seats 1,4,6 will stay in canoe
- float plan will be to cruise around Cowells and then join circle when formed
