LEARN TO PADDLE AN OUTRIGGER CANOE – 2024 CLASS

- 8:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. meet at shed near N Dock at Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor (Crow’s Nest side)

Experience fun, camaraderie & teamwork while learning the basics of Polynesian paddling. Enjoy our ocean environment & marine sanctuary while you learn about the timing, form & power (TEAMWORK) it takes to move the canoe efficiently through the water with 6 paddlers. We are one in the canoe! You will learn water safety, parts of the canoe, ocean stewardship and will be on the water for most of the class. Paddles are provided. Some level of fitness is required! Be prepared with the proper water resistant clothing (no cotton). This class is taught by the staff of Outrigger Santa Cruz Canoe Club. Most of all prepare to have some fun!
